Education
The University of Copenhagen offers both a bachelor's degree (3 years) and a master's degree (2 years) in medicinal chemistry. Both educations are offered in a joint venture by the Department of Drug Design and Pharmacology at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences (SUND) and the Department of Chemistry at the Faculty of Natural Sciences (SCIENCE).
Both educations are research-based with a strong emphasis on students getting involved in research from very early on their education, prior to conducting their bachelor's and master's thesis projects.
The Center for Medicinal Chemistry plays a central role for facilitating contact and interactions between students, researchers, and industrial partners. The Center also organizes annual retreats with focus on constant development of our educations in medicinal chemistry at all levels.
